And the KODAK AWARD New Director - Student or Current Graduate winner is David Rusanow from the Victorian Collage of The Arts, Melbourne. Johanna Gravelle, Director of Marketing - Entertainment Imaging Asia Pacific Region, KODAK (Australasia) announced the winners of each category at a special cocktail party designed specifically for the occasion. Held on September 9th at The Water Bar, BLUE Sydney, the sell-out event screened the work of all three finalists for each category in the presence of over 200 people, including the AWARD Award judges. "Recognising the creative and inspiring work of young, emerging filmmakers is something that Kodak is proud to be involved with. The winners reels were very strong and it is exciting to see this high-quality work coming from such young directors. We hope the Kodak AWARD will help further establish their careers. As the winning KODAK AWARD New Director Of The Year - current commercial director, Dael Oates will be awarded a prize of 10 x 400’ loads of 35mm Kodak Motion Picture Film valued at approximately AUD4,000.00. While David Rusanow – The winning KODAK AWARD New Director Of The Year – current student or recent graduate - will be awarded 5 x 400’ loads of 16mm KODAK Motion Picture film valued at approximately AUD1,300.00 The winners will also be introduced and recognised at the AWARD Presentation Evening to be held on November 12th 2009 and attended by up to 800 of the finest industry members from the region.
